This four-day event will include hands-on data tutorials, plenary talks by socio-environmental systems experts, and field trips in and around the Great Smoky Mountains! Landscape Exchange Network for Socio-environmental systems is a Research Coordination Network funded by the National Science Foundation. We are accepting letters of interest to participate in the workshop until January 25, 2023.
NEON scientists will be present to support the efforts of this great group.
LENS:
"We seek to build a community interested in understanding interactions between natural and human systems in landscapes surveyed by the NEON Airborne Observation Platform. We postulate that co-production of transformative and applied socio-environmental systems (SES) research by scientists and stakeholders would be enhanced through the innovative integration of a translational ecology approach with National Ecological Observation Network (NEON) Airborne Observation Platform (AOP) products."
