During this workshop we’ll be doing a scavenger hunt using the National Microbiome Data Collaborative’s (NMDC) Data Portal, and attendees will learn about programmatic data access via NMDC’s API. The workshop will focus on metadata and data search for soil samples collected from NEON sites.

Programming language: Python/R, Linux
Requirements for participation
Prior to the webinar, you will need a web browser installed. It is recommended but not required that you are familiar with Linux commands like curl or Python’s request library. Additionally, for access to download data, attendees will need an ORCID ID to sign in with. If you have any problems with installations, use the Contact Us page.
