This in-person, facilitated event will bring together NEON staff, NEON Ambassadors, and interdisciplinary teams of researchers who are motivated to explore innovative new ways to use NEON data, samples, and infrastructure to advance science. This event is inspired by the 2019 NEON Science Summit and the NSF ‘Reintegrating Biology’ Town Halls facilitated by Knowinnovation, the latter of which resulted in the identification of 90 innovative research questions and 65 vision papers.
Key outcomes of the 2025 NEON Convergence Summit are enthusiastic workgroups that will convene at the Summit to collaborate on tangible outputs such as research proposals, white papers, derived data products, new curricula, or other valuable resources for the community following the event.
A Call for Applications will be opening soon; attendance will be limited to approximately 50 participants. Stay tuned for additional details as we get closer to the event date!
