In the Science Explained series, NEON develops short, engaging animated videos that teach key data concepts and tell ecological stories using data. We work closely with community topic experts to ensure our material content is scientifically accurate. Our animated videos are created using a suite of Adobe tools including AfterAffects, Audition and Premiere.

NEON Field Site Videos

Fundamentals of Ecological Forecasting
Ecological forecasting is an emerging interdisciplinary research area with the aim of simultaneously improving environmental decision making and improving our understanding of the predictability of natural systems. These videos, produced with the Ecological Forecasting Initiative, provide a series of short introductions to these concepts and methods.
