NEON offers half-day to three-day workshops to train students and researchers on key skills and publicly available tools for working with NEON data. Many workshops are held at regional or national conferences, and many are now 100% virtual events, ensuring safety and improving accessibility for all participants. Workshop Materials
Most NEON workshops cover one or more of the following topics:
- Overview of NEON data collection
- Overview of one NEON data collection system, or a particular family of data products
- Recent research highlights
- Data access: Data Portal tour and instruction
- Data access: Data download and wrangling in R
- Data use: Work with a particular data product or set of data products
- Data use: Work with NEON data in a particular platform, such as Google Earth Engine.
Workshops focused on hands-on training in working with NEON data are all based on tutorials hosted on the NEON Learning Hub. The most common training topics can be found in the Get Started with NEON Data tutorial series.
