About Sarah

Sarah Bevins is an ecologist who works on wildlife pathogens and emerging infectious diseases. She is a Research Scientist at the USDA National Wildlife Research Center where her research focuses on the design of large-scale surveillance programs to detect pathogens in wildlife and the management and control of disease outbreaks. Her current work includes detection of influenzas A viruses in wild birds and plague exposure in wildlife, but as an ecologist, she is broadly interested in how emerging pathogens and invasive species impact disease dynamics.
