Announcing corrected timestamps for all Picarro instruments in the 2025 data release. The code to resolve the timestamp issues was also deployed to correct past Picarro instrument data timestamps. Rare instances where the code did not perform as expected were flagged and are being addressed.
The 2025 data release now includes corrected timestamps for all Picarro instruments. As mentioned previously, NEON was working on developing the necessary code to resolve timestamp issues for the 2025 data release periods. Additionally, we deployed this code in data processing to address timestamp issues that have occurred in the past. Data reprocessing is now complete, and we have republished the data.
We have identified a rare situation where the current corrective code may not perform as expected, such as when field validation occurs more than once in a single day (which may happen approximately once a month). The data from those instances have been flagged in the 2025 data release. We are actively working to address this issue and aim to resolve it in the Jan 2026 data release.
