Logged water quality data available on EDI
April 24, 2023
When infrastructure damage, loss of power/communications, or other issues prevent data from streaming, NEON is able to put some sensors into logging mode, running off battery power and saving data internally. This data is planned to ultimately be ingested into our data processing pipeline and published. In the meantime, however, we have made some of this data collected for use in the water quality data product (DP1.20288.001) available for users to potentially fill some data gaps. Data for the following sites and date ranges can be found in an Environmental Data Initiative repository: https://doi.org/10.6073/pasta/42579eb6102049aa57266ced10b032f3

The sensors were deployed, calibrated, and serviced in accordance with NEON's standard protocols, however the data are raw values which have not yet undergone the standard NEON quality control or review process. Potential users are asked to be mindful of these limitations when deciding whether to use this data, and to cite them appropriately. Potential users are also encouraged to reach out to NEON scientists with any questions regrading the data. An announcement will be made once these data have been ingested, reviewed and published on the NEON data portal.
