NEON is committed to improving the quality of data we provide to the user community. After receiving feedback from users, and in consultation with the Aquatic Technical Working Group, we are moving forward with changes to the Water quality (DP1.20288.001) data product.
These improvements include adding the dissolved oxygen saturation relative to local atmospheric pressure to all sites and reporting chlorophyll a raw fluorescence units in addition to the estimated micrograms per liter at lake and river sites.
In order to test these changes and implement them simultaneously throughout all 34 aquatic sites within the observatory, we are planning to pause publication of the Water quality data product beginning October 1, 2021 (affecting the September 2021 data). Note that data will continue to be collected, just not immediately published. We anticipate that by the end of the calendar year this process will be completed and all collected data will be published.
Any researchers in need of immediate data for rapid publication may contact NEON directly and we will try to accommodate these needs as best we can. Please use the Contact Us form for further inquiries; please select DP1.20288.001 in the Data Product dropdown list and include the term "Water quality publication pause" in the body of your request.
