On 2 August 2024 the SYCA site was burned by the Sand Stone Fire. Observational sampling resumed within a few days after fire closure was lifted. Extensive power and communication damage has prevented real-time streaming of instrument systems data, but sensors themselves were undamaged. Sensors used to collect Elevation of Surface Water (DP1.20016.001), Elevation of Groundwater (DP1.20100.001), Water Quality (DP1.20288.001), Nitrate in Surface Water (DP1.20033.001) and Continuous Discharge (DP4.20130.001) should be running off battery power and internally logging data. Once this data has been manually downloaded and ingested into our data processing pipeline, it will be published on the data portal.
