The quality control algorithm for relative humidity (DP1.00098.001) has been modified to retain readings that fail the range test (> 102%) rather than remove them prior to averaging. Data failing the range test will still be flagged as suspect (final quality flag = 1), but the values will not be redacted because these data are still useful to provide an indication of saturated water vapor conditions.
This change predominantly impacts high-humidity sites in which sensor bias is known to occur. It also aligns the quality control algorithms between relative humidity and relative humidity above water on buoy (DP1.20217.001). All provisional data (collected after June, 2021) for relative humidity and downstream dependency products barometric pressure (sea level subproduct; DP1.00004.001), weather summary statistics (DP4.00001.001), and soil CO2 concentration (DP1.00095.001) have been reprocessed. The full datasets will be updated when RELEASE-2023 is issued in January 2023.
